For over thirty years, SoundTree has been dedicated to improving the experience teachers and students have in the classroom. We are passionate about music technology and are looking for an Education Technology Specialist who is outgoing, self-motivated, and will be responsible for all aspects of growing and developing direct and indirect educational sales in a specified territory. As an Education Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in representing the SoundTree business while working closely with Teachers, Fine Arts Directors, and other key decision-makers at schools in your territory to make the most of their budgets and create the biggest impact for students.
 
The Education Technology Specialist for SoundTree is a driven, sales-motivated individual who interfaces with B2B and B2C clients to market and sell our music technology products and solutions in the education sales vertical. As an Education Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in developing business within assigned sales territories. You will gain a strong understanding of products within the Korg USA family of brands and other brands to provide the best solutions to your educator clients. Effective collaboration with Sr. Manager of Education to drive territory(s) to meet and exceed territory and individual sales goals.
 
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees all aspects of the school sales development and management process for an assigned territory, including research and identification of prospects, outreach, presentations, product demonstrations, proposal development, account management, and reporting.
  • Builds relationship loyalty through a consultative selling process, meticulous service and support, and creative problem-solving to ensure successful development, implementation, and growth of sales.
  • Maintains knowledge of and supports district procurement processes, ensuring fidelity and accuracy.
  • Develops growth strategies for existing school customers by soliciting and securing repeat and ongoing business.
  • Maintain expert product knowledge of music education technology products, the education industry, and factors influencing the market environment and can provide audio, video, and music technology recommendations and solutions for educators.
  • Identify and share common themes from the field that can help refine product positioning and pricing. Offers solutions and best practices to improve partnership growth in all territories.
  • Hybrid remote/in-office role, working from company headquarters in Melville, NY with limited local travel to see customers in designated territory. 
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a self-motivated drive to achieve goals to help the team succeed. 
  • Be comfortable and excited to conduct executive-level presentations to key decision-makers, such as Superintendents, School Board Trustees, Fine Arts Directors, and others.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in outbound sales, Education vertical preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in recording and music software such as: Sibelius, ProTools, Finale, web-based notation and learning software, and others.
  • Proficiency in using a cloud-based CRM tool, HubSpot preferred.
  • Knowledge of using and teaching with MIDI.
  • Music Education background is a plus, but not required.

Salary Range: $33p/h-$44p/h

Bass Division Category ManagerApr-3-2024
SUMMARY: 
The Bass Division Category Manager serves as the key link between Korg USA and our manufacturing partners, Spector, Aguilar and Darkglass. In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturers to ensure optimal representation and support of products in the domestic market. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, present, and evaluate sales and marketing strategies aligned with the manufacturer's objectives for each product or category. This entails working in tandem with Korg USA's Sales and Marketing teams to execute successful product launches, facilitate dealer acquisition, organize promotional events, manage end-of-life transitions, and drive other product-related initiatives. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in communicating valuable insights, both opportunities, and threats, to our manufacturing partners, contributing to informed decision-making for future product development and enhancing overall partnership dynamics. 
 
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Distribute Manufacturer & Product Information: Ensure timely dissemination of relevant manufacturer and product information to key stakeholders within the Korg USA organization.
Market Insight & Analysis: Act as the manufacturer's representative in the domestic market, continuously monitoring and identifying opportunities and threats. Conduct thorough market analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Strategic Sales & Marketing: Develop, present, and assess sales and marketing strategies in alignment with manufacturer objectives for each product or category.
Performance Measurement: Evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies by analyzing performance metrics. Utilize insights to refine approaches and optimize future initiatives.
Relationship Management: Foster collaborative partnerships with manufacturing partners, serving as a trusted point of contact and cultivating strong relationships.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure Korg USA's stock commitment remains manageable.
Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales to measure the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns, adapting as necessary to achieve success.
Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from launch to end-of-life, ensuring smooth transitions and maximizing product success.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Music Business, Business, Marketing or related field.
Previous experience in category management, product management, or related roles within the musical instrument industry.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies. 
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decision-making. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners. 
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software applications
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. 
Knowledge of musical instruments and audio equipment preferred. 
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
Ability to commute to Melville, NY three times per week, or as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Amplifier Category ManagerMar-29-2024

The Amplifier Category Manager serves as the key link between Korg USA and our manufacturing partners, Vox and Blackstar. In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturers to ensure optimal representation and support of products in the domestic market. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, present, and evaluate sales and marketing strategies aligned with the manufacturer's objectives for each brand. This entails working in tandem with Korg USA's Sales and Marketing teams to execute successful product launches, facilitate dealer acquisition, organize promotional events, manage end-of-life transitions, and drive other product-related initiatives. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in communicating valuable insights, both opportunities, and threats, to our manufacturing partners, contributing to informed decision-making for future product development and enhancing overall partnership dynamics.
