Key Account & Ohio Valley District Sales Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Key Account & District Sales Manager who will be responsible for stimulating sales and managing the overall business activities of a priority account and for accounts within the Ohio Valley Territory of Korg USA.  Candidate should be goal oriented, proficient in prospecting and expertise in closing the sale and managing the account. He/She should have a strong passion for growth and will to succeed with strong knowledge relating to the music products industry.



The Key Account Manager aspect of this position will be responsible for maintaining a long term relationship with a high level account to maximize sales opportunities and growth. The District Sales Manager aspect of this position will be required to work and plan with dealers in the Ohio Valley Territory to continuously expand market penetration of Korg USA’s brands.


·        Required to visit to the Key Account’s company headquarters on a frequent basis

·        Develop, nurture and maintain relationships with the category buyers, forecasters and planners 

·        Work closely with purchasing and operations planners to evaluate product turns, projections and coding

·        Coordinate communication involving all aspects of marketing between marketing departments - ours and theirs.  i.e. product selection, catalog content/placement, advertorials, etc.

·        Funnel inventory information to Sales Department and Product Managers allowing them to assist in the pre-planning and work through of inventory issues

·        Frequent communication with V.P. of Sales, National Sales Manager, and Korg USA District Sales Managers to keep them up to date on purchasing decisions, marketing programs and all related information

·        Coordinate Large Account Management team approach and prepare monthly reports outlining all activities to the Korg USA Executive Team Through joint planning with Sales Department, determine, formulate and establish sales forecasts, goals and budget necessary for the sale of all Korg USA products.

·        Monitor all sales activities and maintain awareness of inventory levels, sell-through, etc. of key account, reporting shifts and other pertinent information

·        Coordinate product training and special events

·        Analyze sales statistics and implement strategies to expand Korg USA brands market share and secure new business

·        Develop and execute innovative sales strategies through prospecting & account acquisition

·        Achieve territory monthly sales goal

·        Travel regularly to visit accounts to assess inventory needs and capture revenue

·        Tracking of account progress towards goals and rebate opportunities

·        Merchandising and maintaining product displays and point-of-purchase materials

·        Responsible for training dealer personnel; arranging Product Specialist visits

·        Becoming fluent in the operation and demonstration of Korg USA product lines

·        Utilizing sales tools with accounts to maintain healthy status

·        Build advocacy with musical instrument retailers at all levels of their operation
